Finishing Copper Bracelet

(Buffalo NY)

I made a copper bead bracelet and I heard (somewhere) that this bracelet needs a finishing coat of something so that your wrist doesn't turn colors.

Is there a wax or coating of some chemical that I should be using?

I appreciate any help at all! Thanks!

Working with Copper

Working with copper components for the first time and copper colored (headpins, rondelles, etc).
How will they hold up to wear? Do I need to preserve them somehow?
Thanks
