This is my favorite, it took over 8 feet of wire.
Labordite in sterling.
Just trying something different. :)
Description: Shawn made these gorgeous wire-wrapped pieces, check them out~
I had back surgery 4 weeks ago. Right before I was off work and my fiance makes jewerly. She gave me a book about wire wrapping bascics and beyond. I've always collected rocks and love working with my hands so it was instantly something that I loved. I follow basic instructions on measurments to start a piece, but then they take on a life of their own.
I'm new but some of my tips would be measure twice and cut once:), and probably use your fingers as much as you can to help with marking up your wire. I use square wire for the frame and half round for the wraps because to me it lays better and has a more uniform look on the finished piece.
Well thanks for reading about me. I really enjoy this site with all the artists opinions, tips, and tutorials.
Thanks,
Shawn
