When I first started trying to sell online, I opened up a space at Artesanum website, which is a site for craftspeople from the Iberian Peninsula.
On this site I discovered a Portuguese glass artist and I fell in love with one of her designs. I contacted her and made a special request for a couple of her pendants, but I asked that they didn't have holes because I wanted to wire wrap them.
She was a bit surprised by my request but she was very nice and helpful and we settled it all through e-mail and I ended up owning three wonderful slices of this artist's great talent.
One of the pieces was this square glass "tile" (lacking a better word for it). It's black with a silver butterfly and it's preciously delicate and gorgeous!
Here's the end result of my wire wrapping, inspired by the deliciously random flight pattern of butterflies...
Modesty aside, it's gorgeous and... It's sold!
Thank you for looking!
