I found some and they work beautifully. I am so happy, now I can knot my pearls and have the clasp safely secure and not cutting the string.

Using Wire Protectors
by: Dianne

On the end of your wire put a crimp bead then take the horse shoe shaped wire guard and put your wire through one side of the guard and over the top of the guard then through the other side.

At this point you can put on an O ring or clasp.
Then move the wire through the crimp bead and move the crimp bead up close to the guard.Don't leave slack in the wire it could wear.

When the crimp bead is in place crimp it and cover. Then repeat on the other end of necklace.

If you need to see this done go to AuntiesBeads.com. A tutorial on wire guards. ArtBeads also has tutorial.

I need to know more about what it looks like the size and what it is made out of.

I've never heard of it.
