Wire for Appetizer Picks?

by Carolann
(Sudbury, Ontario)

I was thinking of making appetizer picks with beading on the top.

Someone told me that you can only use stainless steel wire because of the chemicals that are in other wires.

Is this true? Can't I use copper wire?

For health reasons you should probably stick with Stainless or Fine Silver!

BUT - according to the MSDS from Revere (the copper cookware people) Copper in its solid form isn't dangerous! hmmm...check it out at: www.reverecopper.com/images/COPPERMSDS2005.pdf
