What Is Your Threading Technique For A Beaded Leather Wrap?

by Lisa Fiering

I am hoping you can help me, because it is making me crazy that I can't find the answer to this question.

I have been making Beaded Leather Wrap Bracelets and I cannot get the thread that wraps around the leather to be as neat as the picture.

Obviously, it works just fine as I am going back and forth through the bead. But when I move to the next bead, the thread comes down the side of the leather and doesn't look like the one in your picture. Does that make any sense?

I want to get the neat thread loops over the leather that just go right next to the bead, yet don't show strings coming down to the next bead.

Any tips on this would be greatly appreciated.

On other sites it's suggested you use glue as you work.
