Hi,
It seems there are always people who owe me money for one reason or another, but seem to be willing to pay me in stuff they have around. So I always try to put the stuff to good use.
Most recently I was paid with several pounds of 1/8" inch thick wire which I was told is solid copper with a thin silver coating. I keep looking at it and it seems that the coating might be nickel instead.
There are already some nicks and dents on it, so I thought about making it into hammered designs. Do you think that would work with both the silver (or nickel) on the surface and the copper underneath?
Also do you think it is possible to make earrings that are a reasonable size and weight with this wire?
Thank you
