Postage Stamp Earrings: Earrings from Old Stamps

I wish to make some earrings from old stamps of our city's precious Christchurch Cathedral, which was devastated in our recent earthquake.

I have seen some "old stamp" earrings made by laminating stamps but they seem too flimsy. Any ideas for making them more substantial?

Hi, have you considered putting the stamps in a bezel- after 1st sealing them- & then covering with resin.
