Pearl Knotting ~ Finishing

by Kathy
(Overland Park, KS)

Can someone please help me figure out how this is done?

It looks like two silk cords are used. I can get two cords through the pearl but to finish it on the clasp, it looks like the cords must go through the last pearl again and then knotted.

I can not possibly get the cords to fit through the pearls a second time.

I believe that the string is passed into the jump ring then back through the bead and then tied the knot between the last and 2nd to last bead. Then just thread the string onto a needle and run it through the 3rd to last bead to hide the tail. G S Hypo cement is invisible and will secure the knots.

Finish On Both Ends

Yes, both ends are finished in this manner. That is the dilemma.

Pearl Knotting

I'm sure there are plenty of people who are more knowledgeable on this, but I'm going to guess anyway.

Is the jewelry perhaps finished differently on the other end? I'm racking my brain and I can't think how it possibly could be finished this way on both ends.
