Pearl Cup Posts?

I am making pearl post earrings but I need the little cup-like posts that you glue the pearls to.


I thought they were called pearl cups but nobody seems to know what I am talking about. I don't want to have to mount the pearls on a flat-based post as it would not seem to be very secure.

Can you help me solve this mystery?

Dee, I Googled "earring posts for pearls" and it showed a lot of choices in different metals and sizes. (Google is great if you can figure out the right search term to use which I usually have to try a few before I find what I'm looking for LOL.) Hope this helps:)

Someone memtioned a place on the internet that sold full hard wire. That will hold up to the wear and tear of the ear wire that goes in and the back is put on. I will look it up to tell you about the website if anyone is interested.

I've bought some solder to make posts, but if there is something ready made, I'm all for it. Besides the 20 gage wire I would have to use, would be too weak probably.
