Need to Make Chandelier Connections

I have a chandelier I inherited from my mother. The last time it was cleaned, the substance caused many of the wires to fall apart.

I have a tool to wrap the wire, but I need to be able to get antiqued brass wire. I don't know exactly how to wrap it or where to get the wire.

I found some pins which were already antiqued, but they are wrong for what I need, as the style does not match the older pieces. I think it would be easier to wrap a longer strand and cut it to the lengths I need.

Any ideas on this?

The least expensive brass wire you can get is at jewelrysupplycloseouts.com, pay the dollar to get free tips and patterns with 25% off each purchace. Yes it only costs $1 really!
As to making the wire antique, I don't know if they carry it, but they might. Anyway, a craft store will have something to use to age it.
