Three Jewelry Necklaces: Fine Silver Winged Heart & Two Carved Faux Bone Pendants
Description: Check out these three beautiful art clay necklace pieces~ I love metal clay work!
I began making jewelry in the early 1990's.
I had signed up for a jewelrymaking class at a nearby art school, but the class didn't make and was cancelled. I was so disappointed!
Shortly thereafter I went to The Nature Store and bought a kit with natural stone chip beads and some cheap findings and taught myself how to construct components to make jewelry.
Later I moved on to some more sophistocated pieces, and a few years ago I completed training that certifies me to teach Art Clay Silver jewelrymaking.
Currently I am doing a lot of work with free-form darkened annealed wire (too much fun!) and earthen clay beads that I hand-form in my studio.
Now I'm moving up to using porcelain clay (even more fun!!!). I am an artist and writer by profession and work in a variety of mediums.
Jewelrymaking is a keeper and one of the most fun and rewarding mediums in which I work.
Hey, it's definitely cheaper than therapy, right?
EDIT: The first photo I posted turned out way too small to see any detail, so I'm posting these close-up pictures.
