How to Tie Off Beads Using Wire?

by Terri
(Stroud, OK)

How do you tie it off so it looks as professional as possible?!

I love this work, but I am a novice. I'm using wire, crimp tubes and jump rings to finish off the ends, but it just looks so amateur.

Charlotte clasps

I use charlotte clasps, you thread the wire through the 'bend' in the clasp, knot or crimp it, then close the clasp. It also has a loop to hold it to a toggle or a lobster clasp.

The Professional Finish to Beading Wire Jewelry
by: Carlotta

I use tornado crimps and wire guardians (TM) to end all of my pieces. With the wire guardians you can use closed jump rings so they will never open and cause your piece to fall off.

The tornado crimps finish beautifully with no special tool or special skill to apply them. And they are more secure than any other crimp I have used.

There should be a tutorial here on them, if not perhaps I should write one.

Smiles,
Carlotta
