How Make A Necklace From Large, Stretch Crystal Ring?

I bought a Swarovsky crystal spider stretch ring that's about 4" in diameter. Huge! I'd like to remove the stretch ring and somehow make a necklace from it.

In the middle of the spider there are 2 holes on each side where the ring ties in, as for a two-hole bead/finding I usually see for making bracelets.

How or what could I attach to make a necklace look and hang right? There's about an inch between the holes.

I was thinking of wrapping the crystal and hang a smaller one on the bottom and wrap or don't wrap that one too.

I envy you, I would love to have a crystal like that one, I like a challenge.
