Home Jewelry Party Business Success Story

A Successful Home Jewelry Party

by Paula Beal ~all right reserved

I held my first open house jewelry party recently, and what a success! I just opened up my house and displayed all my work in my dining room.

I used Evite to invite friends and coworkers via email, and also printed out invitations and sent them via the regular mail. I sent out probably 30 invitations, and had 15 people who attended.

I did receive some inquiries from those who couldn't attend and asked to see samples of my work - and when they did, they bought on the spot.

I use mostly glass beads with a few gemstones. I made bracelets on wire and on stretchy string. Necklaces long and short, and earrings galore. Nothing was priced over $20 and everyone was pleased with the quality of my work.

I wasn't out to make my first million, and just wanted my friends to have something new for spring that would lift their spirits after a winter that seemed like it would go on forever.

I had bought the book about having home jewelry parties and followed many of the suggestions in that book. All worked well to my advantage. Thank you for all of those.

Can't wait to start more projects!
