Hematite in Copper wire
My friend handed me a box of crystals to take home and use in my wire work. On going through them I found four Hematite briolettes. Now briolettes are lovely, but how do we wire wrap them again and again but not in the same way?
First thing I did was to decide to use my four favourite wires, Copper, Gold coloured, Silver plate and Gunmetal coloured. All are copper based wires as I try to work within a budget for the people that buy from me and myself till I am in my own eyes, good enough to use Sterling silver every time.
Well I here is the fruit of my work. I used mostly 20/21gauge/.90/.80mm wire and 27/28guage/.315mm wire. I put in a few fresh water pearls, some Preciosa crystals and a lot of wrapping in coils.
Needless to say I still have some Sodalite to work with, and some 40 odd small Tiger eyes shaped like sharks teeth. So! I still have to use my creativity to come up with something unique and different again and again.
