Floating necklace crimp bead size?

I would like to make a floating necklace but am unsure as to what size crimp I should use.

Also, should I use a crimp tube or crimp bead? Can anyone help?

Usually if using a standard wire, a 2 or 2-5 will do. It isn't mm, it's smaller, the opening is very small.
