Yes, there is a two week wait for the auction to come from China and, once in a while, items get lost in the mail.
But, most times, I get my package within 8-10 days and if something gets lost, I've only had one seller who refused to refund or reship my item.
There is a HUGE variety to be found and almost always find more if one design works really well for me.
For me, the best part is the price. I don't have a local bead shop so for me shopping on Ebay means I can usually find what I want without paying retail and then trying to find a resale price that won't gouge my customers.
This is not meant to be an ad for Ebay, just relating my personal experiences.

I Found It! by: Jill
I found the following page when looking at beads the other day.
The switch knot is a decorative lacy macrame/ hemp jewelry knot that helps you save on twine too. This tutorial shows you how to tie one with clear pictures and instructions.
A sliding knot is a wonderfully easy way to end off a leather, string, hemp, or corded necklace or bracelet. It looks neat and stylish, is a very practical closure, and is very easy to make.
