Bracelet Troubleshooting (Crimp Problems)

by Jody
(Kearney, Missouri)

I make all these great bracelets, so my friends say, and they do great.. for awhile.

They fall apart.

The wire comes out of the crimp. I think I'm doing a good job, but I guess not.

My question is:
How to make a Bracelet stay together !!!

Thanks,

Jody

Why Are My Crimp Beads Breaking?

I purchased Beadalon #1, 2.0mm crimp beads specifically for an illuson necklace using Beadalon .018 silver plated stringing wire, size M. Using a beadsmith microcrimper tool, about 50% of my crimp beads break. What am I doing wrong?

What Size Crimp Bead Cover to Use?

by Sherri
(Lexington, KY)

What size crimp bead cover should be used with each size crimp bead?

I currently use size 1/0 crimp beads but I don't know what size to order my crimp bead covers. It seems most places carry a size 3mm or 4mm.

Is this the right size to cover a 1/0 crimp bead or will it be too loose?

Crimping Beads For Stretchy Cord?

by Sharon
(Shreve, OH)

I am making bracelets with stretchy cord that I think is .08. I've been using the magnetic cylinder clasps, but these can be expensive. Can I use crimping beads to join the bracelets? What size should I use?

Necklace Finishing (crimp bead problem)

by Deb Agudelo
(Baltmore, MD USA)

Hello, I am using wire for beading necklaces.

I use a cone for a more finished look.

I use crimp beads as they seem secure but after the necklace is worn a couple of times the necklace comes apart and it is always the crimp bead that did not hold.

What am I doing wrong?
