Night Sky Choker by A.W.E. Handcrafted Jewelry
I love chokers and this is the first one that I've made. No soldering required in this necklace, just lots and lots of cutting, drilling, filing and finishing.
It's made of copper and sterling silver that has been textured and aged.
To make, I first drew out my design. I drew all the tabs side by side and drew in where I wanted my holes drilled so I had a pattern to go by.
I then hand cut each copper tab, filed it into shape and drilled all the holes (and there are a lot of them LoL) using my pattern as a guide.
I cleaned up all the holes and then buffed each tab to a matte texture; then I oxidized them and buffed them again and laid them out in order.
Then, I made my jump rings and carefully attached each link together and attached the clasp.
Voila.
