Bubbles In Epoxy

by Derice

Hi, I tried my hand at using epoxy to make a focal the other day.

It hardened up just fine, but left a skim of bubbles at the top that obscured the charm I was making.

I even blew across the top after 25 minutes to pop the bubbles that were there, but some really fine, small bubbles wouldn't pop and never did.

What should I do next time?

Next time tap the container on the table a few times to get rid of most if not all the bubbles; blowing is also a good thing but the bumping will definitely get rid of the big bubbles and blowing should get rid of the small ones later, or you can bump again.

Hair Dryer Removes Epoxy Bubbles

I watched a tutorial, that used a hair dryer, blowing on the epoxy as it dried..the bubbles disappeared.
