Beginner Projects?

So I was looking around the internet and came across your website, and I really wanted to do a new hobby that I'll enjoy. I like making things and doing hands-on work, so I thought this would be perfect for me :)
So what do you recommend for new beginners like me? I really liked the string earring you showed, but what materials do I need? (sorry I didn't really read around like I should have)
