Gorgeous beach glass bracelet by Cindy~

Description: Cindy created this beautiful beach glass jewelry piece after only a few months of jewelry creation. Nicely done!

I am 32 years old and have been making handmade beaded jewelry since January 2011. So only a few months now but, I am finding it very fun to do. I find inspiration from many different places.

I am gathering quite a collection now of handmade pieces. Here is one that I made recently.

It is made with pink and white glass beads, on pink colored copper wire. I found the beach glass on the shore of Lake Superior and decided to include it in my design.

I wire wrapped the glass pieces securely for use in the bracelet. I strung the beads on the same pink copper wire in sets of 3 to make links to create this piece.

Photo help?
by: Lynda

Hi, Cindy,Not sure if this is helpful or not, regarding photographing jewelry, which can be so tricky.

I'm just a point and shoot type of photographer, but have learned a couple of tricks when getting things ready to submit to websites.

1. Photo outside in natural light. Not in bright sun, but a shaded area like a porch.
2. I absolutely love the free photo editing website at picnic.com

I just upload my mediocre shot and through their simple tools, I can resize, sharpen, enhance, frame and add text.

For most sites that have jewelry galleries, I keep the dimensions at or less than 900x900. Some are more around 700x700--they usually state the photo requirements somewhere, but not always.

Hope this helps a bit. Best wishes on your jewelry journey.

You can see the photos that I created through picnic.com on my blog at freshbakeddesigns.wordpress.com

Good Idea
by: Peggi

I like the idea of incorporating stones that have no holes by wire wraping them. I have been a rock collector for years and can now envision how I might use them. thanks for sharing!

Lost detail
by: Cindy

Sorry, this picture was great when I took it. I was super happy with the way it showed detail and everything. Proud of my photo skills as well, but when I tryed posting to the site it kept giving me an error that my file was too large so I edited the picture down to the size that was allowed to post. But all the detail is lost and I am not so computer savy as to know how to keep the detail and still have the file small enough to be posted.

Is there any way you can make it so it can be enlarged? I just love it, but can't see how it's made, or the details.
Thanks
