Annealing and Pickling?

Should you pickle your wire each time you anneal it, or is possible to simply anneal it and cool it without having to pickle it each time?
Thanks so much,

Annealing and Pickling Wire
by: Christine Gierer

Thanks so much for your question!

I never pickle after annealing wire. I always shine up my wire with #0000 steel wire to clean off the oxidation if necessary. Often times I don't even do that because I prefer an "antique" patina anyway.

Not sure if that's right or wrong, but that's how I do it.
